This study was conducted to identify the roles of empowerment and anger in the relationship between ability of application and psychological well-being among the subfactors of Competency to Consent to Treatment.
The research participants consisted of 191 psychiatric patients who had voluntarily agreed to receive treatment through psychiatric departments in Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeollanam-do. The moderated mediating effects of empowerment and anger were verified.
Empowerment fully mediated the relationship between applicability and psychological well-being, which was moderated by anger regulation levels.
Empowerment must be treated as important to promote psychological well-being in psychiatric patients. Also, intervention for anger regulation is needed.

대학생은 성에 대한 올바른 의식과 가치관을 가져야 하며, 성적자기주장은 여대생에게 필수적인 의사소통전략이다. 이에 본 연구는 여대생의 외모만족도, 자아존중감 및 성적자기주장 간의 관련성을 파악하고, 성적자기주장에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 일대학교에 재학중인 여대생 166명으로, 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료수집하였다. 연구결과 여대생의 성적자기주장은 외모만족도와 자아존중감과 정적 상관관계가 있었으며, 전공에 대한 만족도와 자아존중감이 성적자기주장을 48.3% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 여대생의 성적자기주장 증진을 위한 상담이나 중재를 계획할 때, 여대생 스스로가 자신의 외모를 긍정적으로 수용하고, 자아존중감을 높이는 것이 중요한 부분이 되어야 할 것이다.
Happiness is an issue on college campuses because college is a time of transition to adult and professional life. In particular, nursing college students feel an excessive burden on patient care and relationships with medical staff in heavy academic stress and clinical practice at universities, causing psychological disorders such as tension, anxiety, depression, etc. due to these problems. The purpose of this study is to identify the temperament and personality types of nursing college students and to identify the factors that affect each type of subjective happiness.
The research method used TCI-RS to identify the temperament and character, and subjective happiness was measured using Oxford’s happiness sensitivity tool. The statistical methods utilized the methods of technical statistics, ANOVA, and multiplicity.
The percent of below 30 percentile of self-transcendence (ST) and persistence (P) were 48.4%, 43.7% whereas The percent of above 70percentile correspondence (CO), self-directedness+cooperativeness (SC), and reward dependence (RD) were 50.7%, 49.3%, 39.0%. Factors affecting the subjective happiness of nursing college students are harm avoidance (HA) (β=−.16), p<.001), RD (β=27, p<.001), self-directedness (SD) (β=.59, p<.001) and 69% explained. Nursing college students had higher subjective happiness as autonomous students and higher social sensitivity. In comparison, the lower the hedging tendency, the higher subjective happiness.
To enhance subjective happiness of nursing college students, arbitration seems to be necessary considering the temperament and character of individual students.

The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of character strengths and effect factors of subjective happiness of oncology nurses. This research was conducted on the theoretical background of positive psychology.
This study was a cross-sectional study that data were collected from 182 oncology nurses working in a cancer hospital with 500 beds from January to March, 2017. The research instruments were self-reported questionnaires of VIA-IS and Subjective Happiness Scale. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple linear regression analysis.
The average of items about total score of character strengths was 3.38 (±0.29) on the 5-point Likert scale and about subjective happiness was 4.95 (±0.90) on the 7-point Likert scale. Signature strengths of the subjects were classified by six sub-areas of character strengths, frequency of humanity was highest and followed by courage. The level of subjective happiness has significant positive correlations with character strengths. The factors that affect subjective happiness of oncology nurses were job-satisfaction and total score of character strengths. The explanatory power of these factors on the subjective happiness was 34.0%.
We recommend to develop a happiness enhancing program focused on job-satisfaction and character strengths for oncology nurses and to verify their effectiveness.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the relational need scale. Based on previous studies, we presumed that relational need is comprised of the two independent concepts of approch and avoidance.
The preliminary items were selected through a series of processes and they were analyzed in terms of item content, response distribution and correlations with other measures. Exploratory factor analysis confirmed that approach and avoidance concepts were independent from each other.
As a result, the relational need scale was developed, consisting of 6 approach-type items for the relational need subscale and 11 items for the avoidance-type subscale. The two subscales are each subsumed by a one-factor model and a three-factor model, respectively. Specifically, the approach- type subscale has subfactors of ‘Intimate relationship tendency,’ whereas the avoidance-type subscale has the subfactors of ‘sensitivity to others evaluations,’ ‘sensitive to negative evaluations,’ and ‘awareness for others.’
The internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and criterion-related validity of the scales were found to be adequate. This study revealed that the Korean version of relational need scale is reliable and valid. Finally, implications and limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies are discussed.
This study was performed to identify the mediating effect of alcohol expectancy and moderating effect of coping response on the relation between university students’ stress and drinking problem.
Data collected from 264 university students’ self-report questionnaire, including life daily stress, alcohol expectancy, coping response, drinking problem were analyzed.
The mediating effect of alcohol expectancy was significant (β=.26, p<.001). Although, the moderating effect of approach coping response was not significant, the moderating effect of avoidance coping response was significant (β=.12, p<.01).
These results suggest that treatment and intervention for drinking problems of university students’ must pay attention on alcohol expectancy and try to decrease the preference of avoidance coping response.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of body figure discrepancy, body esteem, interpersonal stress, and sociocultural attitude toward appearance on social pressure related to appearance perceived by high school students. A total of 219 students were recruited from a high school in C city. Data were collected by means of self-reported questionnaires from July 13 to 29, 2016. Students with severe body figure discrepancy had higher interpersonal stress (t=2.37, p=.019), peer pressure (t=2.35, p=.019), and parents pressure (t=3.00, p=.003) than students who did not. The social pressure related to appearance were more sensitive as body figure discrepancy, female students, sociocultural attitude toward appearance, and interpersonal stress were higher, and these factors accounted for 30.3% in social pressure related to appearance. The social pressure by peers and parents changes according to the recognition of high school students’ body figure discrepancy and sociocultural attitude toward appearance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an intervention program and promote a sociocultural environment so that students can establish a healthy body image.

Mobile health (m-Health) and health big data are expected to play a major role in driving the future healthcare paradigm. In particular, the value of applications utilizing smart devices including smartphone and wearable devices is increasing day by day. Mobile applications that can be applied to the patient to restore disease in the neuropsychiatric area can be easily provided, and clinicians can also use the clinic in patient diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment. In practical use, it is still a step in the process, so it is necessary to check the stability of the system that operates the data and prevent infringement and leakage of personal information that may occur later. In addition, it is necessary to establish the effectiveness and credibility based on the basis of practical use of mobile health (m-Health) and health big data. With technological advances being made day by day, mental health care workers should be aware of this trend and have an active interest.
